Vice President of Team Operations
Position Overview: The Confidential Team seeks a visionary Senior Vice President of Team Operations to lead the team’s business strategies, drive revenue, and foster meaningful community and fan engagement. Reporting to ownership and executive leadership, this role oversees all aspects of team operations, from ticket sales to game day execution. The SVP will build a high-performing team, develop innovative revenue streams, and cultivate relationships that elevate the team's brand and presence.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership

Develop and execute a comprehensive business strategy, ensuring alignment with league requirements and organizational goals.

Collaborate across departments, including ownership, hockey operations, and league partners, to achieve team objectives.

Represent the team as a spokesperson at community, media, and league events.
Revenue Generation and Business Operations

Oversee key revenue streams, including ticket sales, sponsorships, retail, corporate partnerships, and marketing (digital and social.

Design and implement creative, data-driven marketing campaigns and promotions to engage the local and regional community.

Manage budgets and deliver on financial and performance metrics.

Identify and capitalize on new sponsorship and partnership opportunities, ensuring strong ROI for stakeholders.
League and Community Engagement

Enhance the fan experience year-round with creative activations and community programs.

Develop and maintain strong relationships with sponsors, community stakeholders, and local business leaders to enhance the organization’s visibility and impact

Act as a primary liaison with ECHL leadership, ensuring compliance with league policies and active participation in league-wide initiatives
Event and Game Day Operations

Plan, manage, and oversee game day operations, ensuring a seamless and memorable experience for fans.

Coordinate with sponsorship, marketing, and ticket sales departments to execute contractual obligations during events.

Oversee stadium preparations and create exciting fan engagement strategies for games.
Team Leadership

Recruit, mentor, and lead a high-performing business operations team.

Brand and Market Growth

Drive strategies to grow the team's brand locally and regionally.

Work with the league office to align on strategic goals and deliver consistent, impactful messaging.

Leverage creative campaigns and emerging platforms to connect with new audiences and strengthen loyalty
Hockey Operations

Collaborate with the General Manager to ensure team operations align with league standards and organizational goals.

Oversee logistics related to team travel, equipment, and player housing.

Support community engagement initiatives involving players and hockey staff.

Ensure compliance with league rules, player contracts, and operational guidelines.

Coordinate with coaching staff to align operational needs with team performance objectives.
Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s degree preferably in business administration, sports management, or a related field.

Experience:

7–10+ years in senior management within professional sports or a related industry.

Proven success in revenue generation, brand growth, and achieving financial targets.

Expertise in marketing, sponsorships, and operational planning.

Strong leadership and communication abilities.

Analytical thinker with experience managing budgets and metrics

Event and game management expertise, including stadium and operational planning.

Flexibility to work outside traditional business hours, including weekends, nights, and holidays
